- How Customers Can Use Our Data
Currently, SDM Analytics only includes our United States dental consumable data set. However, following our March 2020 announcement of new data sharing agreements with additional dental distributors and direct sellers, we plan to expand our market data and analysis to include the following markets.
- United States Dental Equipment Market – Later in 2020, SDM Northcoast will launch United States Dental Equipment data through its new SDM Analytics web portal and BI tool. Customers will be able to analyze the dental equipment market in detail including revenue/revenue growth, units/unit growth, price/price growth, and market share for every major category, minor category, sub minor category, for every manufacturer, brand, and product for every region, state, and zip code in the United States. Notably, our U.S. dental equipment portal will include data from dental distributors and direct sellers who account for over 90% of U.S. sales while offering the same functionality as our current dental consumable portal.
- Canada – SDM Northcoast plans to reintroduce its Canadian Dental Consumable and Dental Equipment data through its SDM Analytics portal in 2021. Customers will be able to analyze the Canadian Dental Consumable and Canadian Dental Equipment market in detail including revenue/revenue growth, units/unit growth, price/price growth, and market share for every major category, minor category, sub minor category, for every manufacturer, brand, and product for every region, state, and zip code in Canada.
- DSOs / Government / Schools – In 2021, SDM Northcoast plans to introduce the ability for customers to use our new SDM Analytics BI tool to visualize trends in revenue growth, unit growth, and pricing trends in (1) the Dental Service Organizations (DSO) market, (2) Government business, and (3) Schools, and then compare that information with growth in stand-alone dental practice
